The riddle is telling you in the first sentence that There is the woman’s name. Replace the word There with any woman’s name, like Joan, and you’ll see how it works.
For example, let’s replace “There” with Joan, ie. “Joan is a woman in boat.” While There is not a common name, it’s still the woman’s name in this riddle.
