Can you solve this logic puzzle?

There are three envelopes on a table, each containing a different amount of money. You can open one envelope, and based on that, you must decide whether to keep the money or open the next envelope.

If you open the second envelope, you can either keep that money or open the third envelope.

Open the first envelope and note the amount.

Open the second envelope. If it contains more money than the first one, keep it. If it contains less money than the first, then open the third envelope and take the amount in it.

This strategy doesn’t guarantee you will always get the maximum every time, but it does maximize the chances of getting the highest amount statistically.
